IITBAA Board Elections 2008
Notice of Elections 2008

Elections would be held for the 4 posts of Directorship of the IIT Bombay Alumni Association's Board.

Notice is hereby given to all members of the IIT Bombay Alumni Association (IITBAA) inviting nominations for the IITBAA Board Elections 2008. Elections will be held in August 2008 for four (4) positions as Directors on the Board of IITBAA. Any Life Member of IITBAA can contest the election - click here for the Life Membership Application Form.

Each nomination must be filed as per the proforma Nomination Form provided below, and should be proposed and seconded by Life Members of IITBAA. Please click here to review the Election Rules, which are also available on the election portal at http://www.iitbombayelections.org.

Proforma of Nomination Form

  • An individual must be registered in the Alumni Directory at http://www.iitbombay.org prior to nominating anyone and/or before being nominated.

  • Nomination papers should be submitted to the IIT Bombay Alumni Association, Alumni Centre, 1st Floor, Gulmohar Bldg., IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai 400076, during working hours. The nominations can also be sent via e-mail to ElectionOfficer@iitbombay.org.

  • The Nominee must confirm that (s)he accepts the nomination to the designated post and is willing to contest an election and serve for the entire 3 year term if elected. Such an acceptance letter must be received by e-mail by the ElectionOfficer@iitbombay.org, no later than the end of day on August 4, 2008.

  • The Nominee shall also agree to e-mail a brief write-up about himself or herself along with a valid @iitbombay.org e-mail address, which is available to every alumnus/a registered in the IIT Bombay Alumni Directory, to be used for the election process, no later than August 8, 2008.

Important dates for the IITBAA Board Elections 2008 are as follows:

  1. The last date for filing nomination papers: 4th  August 2008.
  2. The last date for withdrawing nomination: 8th  August 2008.
  3. Date for announcement of final list of candidates: 11th  August 2008.
  4. Polling starts: 14th August, 2008 at 11:00 hrs IST.

  5. Polling ends: 20th August, 2008 at 11:00 hrs IST.
